100 degs under load or at idle? I am not surprise as my previous X1900XT 512mb can go all the way up to 90 degs at load, with default fan settings. But then again, its all speculations now. Just have to wait till proper reviews are out.

    This is from Fudzilla again.

Now why would DAAMIT release a card which goes 100c?
Come on people, think before you give in to this news. This will never pass any QA test.

    won't surprise.

8800GTS on stock cooling load is around 80 degree celcius.

If R600 consume more watt than 88GTS, I won;t be surprise that the load temp is around 100 degree celcius

but on a more serious note... we have ppl lamenting that there are stupid dumbass out there who are always believing wat fudzilla says and that amd/ati is doomed.. in all the threads that concern ati's r600's bad news there will always be someone who will say that he's had enuf of ppl repeating themselves and reinforcing their unfound thoughts that ati will be brought down so easily.. and they think that that is irritating..

but if we take a step back and take a look, its kinda irritating to have ppl keep repeating themselves that those news are fake and that ppl should not believe anything fudzilla says cause they're just speculating and trying to generate traffic.. dont u think so?

for god's sake, wat ppl wan to believe is their problem.. u cannot force ur thoughts into another person's head. it doesnt work that way.. they have their freedom of thought.. so do u guys.. we dont see ppl constantly nagging that u guys are wrong and we should believe wat fudzilla says right?

my belief is this: those who believe will always do no matter how u try to convince them. and vice versa.. so lets just accept things as it is... if they are believing in a wrong thing.. its ok.. its not like its going to cost them anything.. maybe a few hundred bucks if he buys the "wrong" card (and i use wrong here very loosely).. but hey.. its the fun of life right? to be able to make mistakes..

shall we have peace? take the news with a pinch of salt, but if u think its too salty, just walk away gentlemenly.

    Not right.

Solders don't melt at 100 degrees, recent TSC solders have even higher melting points than before.

100 degrees isn't that shocking in power circuits actually.

    Maybe this will cool better

This woulda work even better but too bad the shim around GPU is taller than core so third party coolers either need to be thin in width or a chafe to be milled, or shim removed.
