These are final specs for the 8800 Ultra.

GPU: 675MHz
Mem: 2.35GHz
Shader: 1.60GHz

8800 Ultra still has 128 Stream processors based on 90nm process and has 384-bit bus connected to a 768MB memory GDDR3 type (1.0ns).

lol.. but the shader processors are faster.. 1.35 to 1.6.. abt 20% faster.. haha..

This is horrible, it's still 90nm. nVidia didn't even bother to do a die shrink to 80nm.

lol, lame attempt to counter the r600/2900hd xtx - best thing they could come up with I guess.

its going to be vapour ware / so stupidly priced that they might as well not release it. just one of the marketing things...

1st you can overclock most 8800gtx's beyound those speeds. 2nd, you can crossfire 2x 2900 for the price of an 8800 ultra...

If the 8800 Ultra is really $999 & is really single chip?

Then the R600 must be about $999?
They always stay only a few dollars apart.

Waiting for the real release form nvidia.
And if this is the stuff they're pulling again! (7800GTX - 7800GTX 512meg)
I may give ATI another try ..... well maybe ..... I'll think about.
The 1900's I have make nice paper weights.
