The popular open-source browser Firefox hit another milestone on Friday when it passed the 400 million download mark.

The browser, distributed by Mozilla, appears to be enjoying exponential growth in terms of downloads. From its launch in 2004, it took one year to reach 100 million downloads. A year later, it hit 200 million downloads.

Question:

Firefox FTW!
A forum post should be like a skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

Well to gather the statistics on Firefox users is very easy and non-intrusive. There are a few ways to do this, but the below are the most common.

1stly web browsers have their own distinct signatures that tell websites what web browser is requesting data without any private user information being released.

2ndly mozilla can check how many times the firefox setup file has been downloaded by a unique IP address.

They do not need to gather any private information from you to get their statistics. But if you talking about seeing, well yea they can see you as an IP address that is associated to your ISP.
