Still wondering why they are having that kind of pcb for 9800 GTX with those specs? I mean that the original 8800 GTS 512 pcb is already enough for 740/2100 level..so why they are adding 3cm longer pcb (They have second SLI connector, but that doesn't bring any lenght to that card) and specially: This one has two power connectors when those 740/2100 cards have only one..and this one also has much stronger power supply system than 8800 ultra..

Stupid Nvidia releases just an OC'ed GTS with an extra SLI connector. And you expect us to pay more for that when you can't even fix your damn multi-card stutter?

Ok I have two questions to ask.

1). Why are the cards a different design in the pictures.
2). Why does the top card (look left towards the dvi connectors) have the green Sli bridge chip commonly used on the 7950gx2 and the 9800gx2 cards. Yes, I do own a 7950gx2, and that sli bridge chip, plus the component's, look very identical. Even the released pics of the 9800gx2 use the same identical sli bridge chip. Now the bottom card might be real, but the top card looks like a fake.

1) Because they are two different cards. That card above is 8800 Ultra/GTX and card below is 9800 GTX
2) That ain't sli bridge chip. It's nvio-chip. Usually it's functions are integrated to GPU, but since G80 was made with 90nm they decided to bring those functions with separate chip (you can see how large that G80 is)

Can anyone confirm if the holes of the 8800GT/GTS(g92) cooler are at same alignment as on the 9800GTX?
I'll be making a water block for 8800GTS (g92), covering both the CPU and the video RAM, but I plan to replace my 8800GTS with a 9800GTX.
Are any modifications required?

Well, that will be one hell of a waterblock to cool the CPU and the video ram at the same time. I mean, it must be 20 inches of oddly shaped copper.
