Unimpressed.

Only 900 points higher than a stock 8800gt, which you can now pick up for under $190.

cos it shows how the 8800GTX performs and comparing the 8800GTX score to the '9800GTX' score it is an unimpressive rise.

This is unimpressive right now. With the CPU overclocked to 3.5Ghz, not much of a jump over the old 8800 gtx. Seems like I'm going to stick with my card even longer. But who knows, may be driver issuses, but really, I doubt it. This really isn't a new chip at all. They haven't released a new chip IMO since G80.

But it doesnt show what CPU/driver is used. You need to have it all on the same system in hte same test environment... But still, your point is taken, if these are the final shipping speeds (yet to be confirmed by Nvidia) then its not much of an improvement.
