i'm not impressed. the 8800 GTX was released almost a year and a half ago and this looks like it's nothing more than an overclocked GTX.

The official system requirements for Crysis are:

Graphics: Nvidia 6600/X800GTO (SM 2.0)
RAM: 768Mb/1Gb on Windows Vista
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP

why would someone prefer to play a game with low/medium settings?

Indeed, even a single video card with 256 SP clocked at 800MHz might not be able to make the game enjoyable enough to play in the highest setting for D10...

Such a card is earliest only possible in the next generation after 9 series... Or worst 2 generation down... sad

8800GTX is a legend. Just like Radeon 9800.

Other than that, just like another HD2600XT -> factory overclocked HD3650 = 8800GTX -> 9800GTX.

An extra 25MHz on the core, greater memory bandwidth, Triple-SLI support, and support for NVIDIA's Hybrid Power if used on one of the upcoming nForce 780a or nForce 750a motherboards for AMD processors.

So, since the MSRP is $299-$349, the exact same MSRP for the GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB, I'm assuming that either that card will become EOL or have its priced lowered. EOL seems likely to be the answer, since a GeForce 9800 GTS is rumored to release in late April. It would be kinda hard to fit the GeForce 8800 GT, GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB, and GeForce 9800 GTS all in the $199-$289 price range...

- 4GB (2GB x 2) DDR3-1066 Memory
- 250GB Hard Disk Drive (5400 RPM)

Gawd Tri-SLI is such a gimmick. Stupid multi-card stutter renders the entire experince only ever-so-slightly smoother than what you would get on a single card.
