Reiser made the linux file system called ReiserFS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReiserFS

it one one of the first successful journeling file systems for linux.

Too bad. Always used Reiser for my Linux builds. EXT doesn't feel that smooth for some reason.

XFS or JFS are good for consumer use too.
