ducktaping 2 cores together.... no problem with me as long as it performs... dont see many problems with the q6600 and such so far... (cept for 45nm quads)

9900GTX SLI runs Crysis 2560x1600 VH 4XAA smoothly

thats alot of power if that is true.... definately gonna go underwater when i get this card... will be a monster heater in the com...

So, this is a dual core gpu? and the x2 version would be like a quad core?

G92b+G92b cores = core GT200. G100 = ??? Or G100 and GT200 in one face?

Or this GT200 it is true G100+G100 on single?

does this mean ATI's Project Thunder will be outdone a month after its release? i'm looking forward to benchmarks of the GT200, although it will be too late for me if i already own a pair of 4870's. i'm not good at waiting.

i dont understand the point of this, why not just make it one chip, smaller die area for the same amount of shaders, ROPS, TMUs, and you dont lose 50% of the performance to SLI

it seems like they've hit a wall with this architecture and are trying to milk as much out of it as they can until their next major change is ready.
