More than 7000 points with extreme preset? That's pretty good for single card with reference clocks. QX9650 3.8GHz + 9800 GX2 (at ref clocks) scores around 5000 points. So according to that GTX 280 would be at least 40% faster in 3dMark Vantage (extreme-set).
Crysis score: 9800 GX2 is able to run this game at 1920x1200, Texture/Shadows/Physics/Shaders/Water: High; All other settings: Medium. At DX10
What were those additional settings in Crysis? Which processor they used

Ofcourse it will be alot faster than a GX2 which is two GPUs sandwiched and there is already a bottleneck with both cores communicating.
I would like to see some more of the GTX280 and HD4870, things are going to heat up pretty soon...
Strike that 5000 points for 9800 GX2 it was bogus.
Muropaketti tested with 9800 GX2 +QX9770, both at stock and they got X3182.. so X7000 for stock GTX 280?
That Crysis thingy makes one wonder.. since that could be achieved with single 9800 GX2
What gave u an idea that a single 9800GX2 can do 1920x1200 with AA/AF turned on?
My 8800GTS G92 OC ED SLI with a C2D at 4.4GHz can't do it at a playable framerate at 1680x1050 without AA, let alone a 9800GX2 with AA enabled.
edit: I was talking about running crysis in DX10 very high settings. No point setting it to high settings or medium settings as in those settings, little or no DX10 path is utilised. Its just as good as running the game in DX9.

Well that's why I was intrested of what was those other settings beside resolution and AA/AF..
I see....anyway I believe it is just a casual remark of that person who just wished that this new card can run crysis in its full glory with aa/af enabled in FULL HD res.
I will be happy if it will just run Crysis in FULL HD without AA as the game already looked good enough without AA.
