ATi Radeon HD 4870 delayed to July 8

According to Turkish hardware site Donanimhaber, Radeon HD 4870 (RV770 XT) has been delayed, availability for this card is now slated for July 8.

I think that Radeon HD 4870 will still be launched this upcoming week, but it will suffer from extremely limited availability until July 8th. In fact, it would be an OEM-only launch initially (meaning only system builders like HP, Dell, Falcon Northwest, etc. get the chip next week, but everyone else has to wait until July 8th). Or at least that is my guess.

Nah! I overclocked my Glacier Asus 3650@890mhz on the other PC and i can play GRID and some other games at 1280*768 just fine.

I wouldn't get a GTX 280 even if it was the last card on earth.
