There has been a lot of talking about gtx+ gpus which we haven't seen any until now.

It's not in the gpu it's in the architecture.Their old G80 arch is no more better than AMD's.In fact, the 4870 with 2.5x smaller die "234mm vs 576mm" competes against the 280gtx.

Adding extra 15% more shaders or higher clocks wont solve their problem.

ATI already has R700. Nvidia should beat that first and then move on. GTX 280 loses badly continuously.

Another blow for GTX280 is Stalker Clear Sky.

Once more, witness the power of the king!

Yes. Sorry. Here are the rest of the tests.

100% better performance the 4870X2 over the GTX280 anyone?

No you won't. Don't forget that these are DX10 benchmarks. DX9 will be much better. Also please note that the chaps at PCGH said that there is minimal graphical difference between DX9 and DX10. As always of course. That's why DX10 sucks.

Where did 4870 win GTX 280?

Or did you mean 4870x2 ?

Comparing 2 gpu to one... is it even fair to say it wins?

Well, i am just curious though cause... all the reviews i see... GTX260 is the one fighting with 4870 while gtx 280 is ahead and 4870x2 is even further ahead.

So you say... 4870.... i presume 1 single gpu, single card....

Well, it was mentioned as 4870.... misunderstanding... could mean 4870 card.....

unless you say 4870x2 card

doesn't matter...just a comment, no need to get so serious.

4870 and 4870x2

sucks lots of power, the heat generated is also way more than gtx280, should ati clear the power comsuption I think more ppl would like it.

4870x2 516W on load it is really very bad.
