It looks like that Nvidia won't support DirectX 11 until Q4/2009, when he launches the GT300-generation. Look at the newest product-roadmap:

-GT206: Q4/2008, 55nm
-GT212: Q1/2009, 40nm
-GT216: Q2/2009, 40nm
-GT300: Q4/2009, 40nm

Lets sit back and see what they can arrive with. No point spectaculating and calling everyone else that have a different view-point/card a fan boy.

That's right. We'll see what Nvidia and AMD brings.

1+ years for GT300? Having AMD spinned off its manufacturing, look for ATI to bring in mucho $ (provided they don't get greedy, slow down their own innovation, and start milking their customers for every $0.01.

Taking 1 year for GT300?.. Could that spell new hope for a new microarchitecture?

I don't think we're gonna see a new architecture from both Nvidia and AMD in the next year.

From the naming of these cards, you can tell the number of the stream processors they have.
-GT206: Q4/2008, 55nm
-GT212: Q1/2009, 40nm
-GT216: Q2/2009, 40nm
-GT300: Q4/2009, 40nm

Nvidia is working hard now to shrink the size of their g200 chips in order to make some money or.... to reduce the amount of the money they're losing.

The gt206 will probably have 206 of Nvidia's current stream processors. It will probably be slower than the 216core but ....with 24% smaller die size.

Im waiting for my upcoming 5870 with 2-2.5 teraflops of computing power and full DX11 support.

Are you sure the GT206 naming is according to the core dude?

That mean the new GTX290 will be nerf to at most only 216 core at max...

That going to be a joke man... Also judging by the design and the unit shader clusters, its impossible for GT200 to go for 206 or 212 cores.... Smallest changes will be a factor of 24 SPs for the GT200...
