I dun see them running at 700MHz, more like 650/1500/1150 sound alot more reasonable for the shrink...

At this speed it will still be faster, cooler and less power hungry than orginal GTX280...

Hopefully the card itself will be smaller and cheaper than orginal 280GTX as well

no, i mean nowaday silicon (gt200) can run 700mhz; zotac amp! gtx280 for instance even on stock cooling (a big margin of gtx280 can do that)

and i dont think nvidia would clock the shrink faster than that (at least not the standard product)

so i dont see a sence performance wise to upgrade, MAYBE because ofpower consumption (but then that has to be a lot better)

This is not the GTX 290. I've had cards with the G200-302-A2 number on the chip. It's just a higher binned chip from nVIDIA.

Click the image to open in full size.

Besides the G200-302-A2 number on the chip it looks identical to the GeForce GTX 280. Here's the GeForce GTX 280:

Wow that whole article and all of it is bull. Fake

It is a normal vanilla GTX 280.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=207011

What really set me off about these guys is when they took the pictures someone posted on XS and labeled it with their logo then tried to pass it off as a GT200b chip.... someone has done it again and passed it off as a leak

just...wrong and immoral of these people to do that.

I grow tired of reading the same crap from these Japanese and Chinese forums... They are taking pics of old existing stuff and photoshopping it or intentionally degrading image quality to make it look like "stolen new data that you don't know"....

Someone should filter what these guys are allowed to post sometimes
