aaah those benchmarks dont look that realistic :S
i mean while the 4870 is getting below 20FPS, the gtx295 is getting almost 80?!

Unimpressive TBH.

nVidia can't sell this at $600. Not when 4870X2s are now $480, and going to fall even more soon.

Nv promise that it will be priced competitively with HD4870X2... We will see about the MSRP

Anyway wwenze, I believe such increase FPS is result of using I7 with PhysX on as well... Hence it will hv such big difference...

the hell? this thread reeks of fanboy. the card looks fine. a simple design. get your curvey, sticker covered designs from distributors. who the hell is looking at your video card anyways? the performance increase looks pretty good, going around 10~40fps higher than the X2 in the games posted. whether this is a legitimate benchmark remains to be seen, but those are pretty good numbers if the power consumption really is lower than the X2.

obviously it's going to slaughter in Physx, nvidia owns it. physx isn't really a legitimate test for something like this until ati gets support for it.

what the hell were you guys expecting honestly? does it need to get 100fps more than the X2 for it to be a good performer? considering this is still the GT core and "supposedly" going to be at the x2 price point it looks like a pretty good card.

Not just that, though. ATi still hasn't added in real quad core support in their drivers yet, coming in the next few releases (it's in the closed Betas now)

This is unimpressive because the 4850X2 is now nearly half the price of what this will be (I'm guessing 550), and isn't really any slower once the core is OCed slightly. So a "4870X2" that uses even less power for $280.

What concerns me is that the new benchmarks on GT216 always seem to lock at 4xAA.

There was an image quality review a while back that showed a "change" in NVIDIA 4xAA quality;visually, you can really see that AA was tuned way down.

It would be GREAT if someone can post a screenshot of Left4Dead or Fallout 3 on GT216 with 4xAA for review.
