Dell's eco-friendly G2410 LCD monitor is here tUx Feb 27th, 09, 01:38 AM #1

Dell's greenish G2410 LCD monitor goes on sale

Dell's new 24-inch G Series LCD, which was previewed during CES this year, has finally gone on sale at the outfit's website. The G2410 flat-panel is said to be one of the firm's greenest LCDs, as it proudly sports an EPEAT Gold rating and utilizes halogen-free laminates in circuit boards along with chassis plastics that contains 25 percent post-consumers recycled plastics. Other specs include a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution panel, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 250 nits of brightness, VGA / DVI connectors and a 5 millisecond response time. It's all yours for US$349, though there's no apparent discount for hugging a tree prior to pulling the trigger.

S$240 more expensive compared to S2409W despite being less brightness though power consumption is really low.

Doesn't pay to be green... You cut down a little on power, but end up paying quite a fair amount of premium on the gadget.

Dell's 22-inch LED-backlit G-Series LCD now available tUx Feb 28th, 09, 12:36 AM #7
Meanwhile also from Engadget... The 22-incher G2210 is available for retail at US$239.

The G2210 retains a 16:10 aspect ratio to give a 1680 x 1050 display resolution. It has 250 nits of brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 5ms response time.

Viewing angles are the same as its 24" brother, and power consumption is rated at 18W.
