Noctua reveals the NH-D14 CPU cooler Marduk25 Nov 2nd, 09, 11:25 PM #1 (permalink)
Just last week Noctua introduced the NF-P14 FLX 140mm fan and today it came back into the spotlight to announce a new CPU cooler, the NH-D14. Seen below, the fresh cooling solution measures 160 (H) x 140 (W) x 158 (D) mm and features six copper heatpipes, and a dual radiator aluminum heatsink that can be equipped with the two fans included, a 120mm NF-P12 and the mentioned NF-P14. Both fans have an SSO-Bearing, Vortex-Control notches on their blades, and boast a maximum working speed of 1200 (NF-P12) / 1300 (NF-P14) RPM.

"Our NH-U12P coolers are widely regarded as one of the best solutions on the market, so it makes us especially proud that we can offer a further substantial improvement in quiet cooling performance with the new NH-D14", explains Mag. Roland Mossig, Noctua CEO. "The NH-D14 in Ultra-Low-Noise mode actually outperforms the NH-U12P at full fan speed, so we're confident that this cooler will appeal to overclockers and silent enthusiasts alike."

The NH-D14 is compatible with Intel LGA 775, 1156, 1366 and AMD AM2(+), AM3 processors, is bundled with the NT-H1 thermal compound and is set to start selling around the middle of this month for $84.90 / 74.90 Euro.

OMG 75 euros for a cooler. I hope it offers the performance they promise!

Actually it's not expensive when you consider the bundle (2 fans). I have an NF-P12 bundle and it's my favorite heat sink so far, very study and resilient + very good bundle. Noctua offered LGA 1336 mounting kit for free as well, awesome support

If I was in the market for a new HS, I'd get this one immediately.

I know that Noctua offers some awesome coolers. My hypothetical next rig (which I don't know if I am going to build anyway) will have a NH-U12P SE2 actually. Still, 55 euros or so, is quite a bit less than 75 euros.

Ah, what the heck, if the perforance is there, I just might go for this instead!
