Turkish hadrware site Donanimhaber.com published pricing informations about upcoming GeForce GTX 480. According to site, Sabre PC webshop listed XFX and PNY GeForce GTX 480 for $680.

I certainly hope so too.. cause 680$ wtf.. ? it better be almost as good if not better than a Ati 59XX or else i doubt many would even buy it..

On that other thread they said that Geforce GTX 470 would cost $299 while performance would be expected to be around HD5870 level.

I think it will be more expensive even though the listed price is lower. Its usually the case for new products. But price is not as bad as it seem if this is for real.

Well to the point.. in a way it's good for me that Fermi is late. Now I have more time to see if ATi can give me drivers that would solve my problems with my HD5770 crossfire set.. before I rage and buy GTX 470 or 480.
