GTX 470 seems quite fairly priced if it performs very close or better than the 5870.

GTX 480 is another case though. I mean you can get two 5850s with that kind of money and still be at about the same TDP (2X150W). Is Nvidia so confident that their single GTX 480 will perform on par with two 5850s?

I could dare say that I'd expect two 5850s to be about 30% faster than a single GTX 480, with the added bonus that you can throw 35% overclock on them, if need be, something that seems very improbable for the GTX 480.

Well, if this is true:
GTX 480 has around 15% more "cuda cores" compared to GTX 470, 20% more memory and bandwidth, but consume 30% more power at load?

I hope the clocks on GTX 480 is higher.

If I remember correctly, GTX 285 was launched at around $500 also. NVIDIA's prices have been getting more reasonable in the last 2 generations

Hmm... now I wonder.. is it even worth while for me to change my sli gtx 260s?

If i am not wrong, sli gtx 260 should perform on par with 5850 and 470 is just barely faster....

So... i will be wasting around 750 bucks SGD... for no reason if I am to buy GTX 480....

Thank to ati.

But 285 consumes a lot even being a TSMC 55nm process node and 280 65nm
they reduced a lot the quality of the cooler 285 mini review

and this fermi GPU's are being pushed out i belive there will be a revision real soon!

Yeah well there is B1 rev. coming down the pipe somewhere around the end of Q2, but it will be still the same 40nm process so I don't expect any wonders to happen.
