ComputeMark - DX11 Compute Shader benchmark RobertVarga Apr 11th, 10, 06:46 AM #1

ComputeMark is first 100% DirectX 11 Compute Shader benchmark. With Windows 7 and DirectX 11, we can use huge performance of our graphic cards for more (real life, daily used) applications. With ComputeMark we are able to measure this power of our graphic cards and tell which one is better.

ComputeMark typically utilizes 99% of GPU (hot hot hot) and 0-1% of CPU. Windows 7, DirectX 11 and DX11 graphic card are required.

ComputeMark (Robert Varga (c) 2010) is build on Jan Vlietinck Fluid3D demo and can be run only on DirectX 11 hardware.

Why is the screenshot showing a 1.1 version while the download links only provides version 1.0?

In any case, seems like an interesting prog. Thank you Robert.

Here is my result on my 5850. The program renders in a window, so naturally crossfire does not work.

Btw VRzone's image hosting is not working for quite some time now.

Kind of weird saying you're using CrossFire for general purpose (and/or non-graphic stuff). Eh... might just be me.

How about Windows Vista support?

Thanks for sharing it, and people for posting results already.

I don't know. I believe GP actually scales better than gaming with crossfire/SLI.

A little oddity I noticed.

On the 1st run, I get 228x
If I run the benchmark again without closing, I get 223x

Closed ComputeMark, run it again, 228x.
Again without closing, 223x
Again without closing, 223x

Just in case it was heat related, i.e. gpu slowing down. I tried it again with a longer pause between the 1st and 2nd run. Same result. If I close and reopen immediately, it goes back to 228x.

Similar score to my single 5870 so CFX definitely not working, but he did say it should be in the next version.
