Futuremark 3DMark11 DX11 Benchmark Trailer newzhunter May 25th, 10, 12:53 AM #1

3DMark 11 is the latest version of the world’s most popular benchmark for measuring the 3D graphics performance of gaming PCs. 3DMark 11 uses a native DirectX 11 engine designed to make extensive use of all the new features in DirectX 11, including tessellation, compute shaders and multi-threading. 3Dmark 11 is the best way to consistently and reliably test DirectX 11 under game-like loads. 3DMark is trusted by gamers and enthusiasts worldwide to cut through marketing hype and technical jargon to give accurate and unbiased guidance for PC hardware purchasing decisions. Coming Q3 2010.

ZOMFG, is this thing real time? WTF?

If it is, it just shows how far PCs have advanced, but also clearly demonstrates how much of our machines processing power goes to waste. This can be attributed to two things.

Primarily, it is the developers' devotion to the retard gaming consoles and second is the great diversity of PC gaming systems all over. I really hope that DX11's tesselation, will give them the capability to give more polygon count in PC games. That coupled with the already existing option for texture and shader quality, should address more correctly each ones PC abilities.

Still, the fact remains, that we still haven't seen graphics anywhere near as great as even 3dmark 2006 and that's 4 years and a half ago ladies and gentlemen. That really has to show that something is terribly wrong in PC gaming development.

Anyway, word has it, that the new 3dmark will have nothing to do with PhysX this time around. All physics test will be in Open CL or Direct Compute. That should be interesting, if true.

I think that Nvidia will win hands down in this test, but then the 6000 series will come out.

I would love to see this demo ported to a console, just to laugh at the amount of downgrading necessary to even get it to run

If this should impress people it doesn't , i'm totally dissapointed by a benchmark that will mean nothing as reflecting perf. in actual games and will be heavily sponsored by one side or another
to fake bigger numbers.
Sure it looks better than some other benchmarks like unigine but comparing this with ACTUAL GAMES this is nothing , proof some might ask
YouTube - Forest animation HD 720p Cryengine real-time Bokeh depth-of-field
and i didn't got to metro 2033 or others , so please futuremark pack your bags and make actual games , the most pointelles software in this world are the futuremark benchmarks , they are all obviously cheated and sponsored by one side and they never tell the real truth.
