Aliens vs Predator DX11 Benchmark tool is out - Benchmarks inside psolord May 28th, 10, 06:43 PM #1

Aliens vs Predator DX11 benchmarking tool has been released.

I can't find an official page. Only a download link. Wth:?:

Anyway, here are some runs I did.

I made three benchmark videos on my 5850 and 5850 Crossfire all at 1Ghz core 1250Mhz RAM. All textures at level 3 with custom shortcuts (instructions in the installation folder).

1920X1080 NoAA Crossfire 5850s 1Ghz
YouTube - ALIENS VS PREDATOR DX11 BENCHMARK 1920X1080 CROSSFIRE 2X ATI 5850 @1.0GHz CORE i7-860 @4.0GHz
result 103.1 fps

1920X1080 NoAA single 5850 1Ghz
YouTube - ALIENS VS PREDATOR DX11 BENCHMARK 1920X1080 ATI 5850 @1.0GHz CORE i7-860 @4.0GHz.avi
result 57.4 fps

That’s an 80% scaling for the dual cards. Not bad.

And finally
1920X1080 4xAA Crossfire 5850s 1Ghz
YouTube - ALIENS VS PREDATOR DX11 BENCHMARK 1920X1080 4XAA CROSSFIRE 2X ATI 5850 @1.0GHz CORE i7-860 @4.0GHz
result 60.6 fps

From what I hear (thanks Geeks3D), it runs better on Radeons than Fermis.

If you want, post your results, videos, whatever.

Did you also get about 80% scaling with dual cards, compared to one?

You have to make a copy of the .txt file and combime this file with a custom made shortcut.

For example I made a psolord_1920x1080_4xaa.txt file with the settings I wanted and then made a shortcut of the AvP_D3D11_Benchmark.exe file and then I used the following target to launch the .exe, "F:\DEMOS\AvP D3D11 Benchmark\AvP_D3D11_Benchmark.exe" -config=psolord_1920x1080_4xaa.txt

Hope this helps.

Ah....I think I get it, will try later when I get back.....THANKS! Oh yeah, is there a way to max Texture and AA at the same time?

Yes of course.

In my 1920X1080 +4XAA video, I did exactly that. The settings I used were

Width: 1920
Height: 1080
Texture Quality: 3
Shadow Quality: 3
Anisotropic Filtering: 16
SSAO: 1
Vertical Sync: 0
DX11 Tessellation: 1
DX11 Advanced Shadows: 1
DX11 MSAA Samples: 4

This are the max settings allowed anyway.

It beats me why these guys chose such a lame ass option to change the settings. I mean what the hell would be so wrong with a decent launcher gui like Unigine does?

Ah cool. Good to know.

It was nice to see that Crossfire can scale up to 80% with DX11 and Tesselation as well. I was under the peculiar impression that it could go up to 50% with DX11 and Tesselation!
