Intel is expected to launch the Extreme Edition of the quad-core Kentsfield known as Core 2 Extreme QX6700 on November 13th. It is clocked at 2.67GHz/1066FSB with 2 x 4MB L2 cache. There is another mainstream version of the quad core Kentsfield with 2 x E6600 cores known as Q6600 slated for launch in Q1 next year. It is clocked at 2.4GHz/1066FS with 2 x 4MB L2 cache too

let's face it: conroe is already fast enough for the games now since there is no new games out for now. dual core is adequate for now.

I heard Bad Axe already runs these very fine like you see how Coolaler and the rest do it, ASUS P5WDH etc.
But I heard BadAxe Ver 2 will be optimized for Kentsfield with Memory pathway optimizations. Marketing Gimmi9ck or truth, we wait and see!
