Laptop recommandation for student going overseas.. n707jt Apr 8th, 07, 09:58 AM #1 (permalink)
Hey guys...

I am very lost so I need all the bros expertise here!

Im planning to get a laptop for my uni overseas but I've no idea which spec and range to look into.

Basically I would like to have one that is able to provide me enough specs to say play games like C&C3 haha... Also I would prefer that it comes with 2GB RAM and Vista. Budget about 3k...

Please do help recommand! It will definitely make my life alot easier

If you are going overseas, it's best to get one with global warranty.

My friend had an acer, and she had it repaired for more than 5 times with acer and the problem is still not fixed.

My take is go for some brand with has very low failure rate with global warranty. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for the convenience and a piece of mind.

Ya.. Brand like Asus. they offer 2 years global warranty, can be extended for extra costs.

i would suggest on dell as it is easier to claim warranty etc. and if u are going to countries like US etc you might want to consider getting a laptop there as there are better deals around.
