Cheap padded case from IMM Daiyso repanse Jun 22nd, 08, 09:43 PM #1 (permalink)
Hi

Found a cheap case from IMM Daiyso, only $2.
It's padded and has enough space for lappie/adapter/mouse.
It comes in babyblue, grey and black also.
See pics.

A lot left in IMM store, not sure abt vivocity and plaza sing.
I think there's a bigger size version.

BTW, the one in pic looks off-white, but it is actually cream.

came across, theres good and bad with this

the good is its cheap and it should fit most basic stuff quite snugly in a compact package

the bad (maybe not to all) is becos its cheap, the material is literally foam-coat thin and the zipper opening is narrow (looks frail also for prolong/enduring use). this means the package should not risk a drop and putting in-taking out-putting in is going to take a bit of patience and care (again to some, maybe not all)

i still think theres a huge market out there for something sort of a ZeroShock type better made foam case with segregated elastic straps for compartmentalizing those accessories, just for the epc. but i am not sure if charging S$40 (or more) would eventually do the design much good

Yup, you are right - depends on usage, and one's requirement.

I am using it together with my sling-bag or backpack, both already afford some protection. The case is light and good, protects eeePC from other stuff in the bag.

I have used such cases before for my old 10" notebook, and did drop the bag while walking and alighting the bus a couple of times... so far so good...

To each his own... different folks different strokes...
