yo guys,

i have a R50e, according to lenovo's website below, it can accept PC 2700 DDRs, at 266Mhz....I'm thinking of a upgrade, i can also get the PC 2700 333Mhz version right? It should just work fine?

Diagnostic Questions
- Do you guys use "Access Connections", or other thinkpad software like Client Security etc? Client Security is especially sensitive, so to test this out, uninstall it completely.

- I had this problem before, which is caused by many possible programs, so I need to find out what you have.

Hi

I have a T42 which is now about three years old. For the last couple of months I have had a problem with the mouse. When I go to move the cursor, the cursor stalls on the screen for a second or two, and then overshoots where I want it to go (I think the latter is down to me actually as I try to overcompensate for the stalling cursor). This happens whether I use the internal mouse or attach an optical mouse + keyboard or an old-fashioned wired mouse. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, to no avail. A friend of mine had a similar problem with a dell Latitude, and apparently it was due to the pressure his hand was putting on the laptop casing when he was typing. His solution was to pick up the laptop at both ends and twist it, to take pressure off some internal part. Needless to say, I’m reluctant to take such an approach.

Any thoughts?

OS on new THinkpad mickcollier Jun 20th, 07, 11:05 AM #161 (permalink)
Hi,

Im a student and am a first time user of thinkpad. Im getting myself a Thinkpad T61 but it comes preloaded with Windows Vista Business only.

How can I install Windows XP on my thinkpad after I have bought it? If i
use a normal Windows XP installation CD, wont this wipe away the default
factory settings on the hard disk for recovery etc when im doing a format
while installing the windows XP?

Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Regards,
Paul

T43 Port Replicator Penngw Jul 6th, 07, 08:47 PM #163 (permalink)
Have a T43 and need a port replicator. See a lot on-line (e-bay included) that claim to be compatible with numerous Thinkpads. Can anyone provide me model/part number for correct replicator. Any ideas where to purchase would also be welcome.
