that said, yes the screen size is wrong, not that it matters.
CPU itself is wrong. It isnt part of X200 specs.

Help with T61 pls! sfreedom Sep 24th, 09, 02:10 AM #263 (permalink)
Guys, I am totally screwed! Ive bought a T61 15.4" last week and just realised that Ive been screwed up big time! The Laptop has a supervisor password and the joker who sold me even disappeared. Even his Prepaid Card number has been deactivated. Called up Lenovo Service Center and they said it would cost me S$1050 to replace System Board!!! Does anyone knows of anyone or shops that provides Supervisor removal services for a fee?? Otherwise, I may have spend $1100 on a beautiful dummy!

Pls take note of this Joker. His sales thread at Phing is:

uSed ibm t61 think pad c2duo 15.4" (pHing Classifieds)

Since Phing is owned by VRZ, I sincely hope that the Admins will remove his Ads and log his IP and permanently ban him from conning anymore VRZers!

hi bros,

Anyone had problems with the 9-cell batteries? mine went dead with less than 80 cycles. Seldom use the batteries and i usually leave it out of the lappy. it shows 62% but i cant even get the lappy to run for 10secs. Its slightly less than 2 years old. Any hopes of an exchange or i need to get a new battery?

If you cannot boot the ThinkPad, you will have to reset the IBM ThinkPad password via hardware.

If only the power-on password is set, do the following to remove the power-on password.

1. Power off the computer
2. Remove the DIMM cover on the bottom side of the computer.
3. Short-circuit the two password pads or put a jumper on the contacts to short the circuit.
4. Under the short-circuit condition, power on the computer and wait until the POST ends. After the POST ends, the password prompt does not appear. The power-on password is removed.
5. Reinstall the DIMM cover.

If both the power-on password and the supervisor password are set, do the following to remove the passwords:

1. Power on the computer by pressing and holding F1.
2. Enter the supervisor password. The Easy-Setup menu appears.
3. Click on the Password icon.
4. Click on the Power on icon.
5. Enter the supervisor password and press the Space bar.
6. Press Enter twice.
7. Click on Exit; then click on Restart.
