I find the new Inspiron's cooling system very well done, infact so far it never gets so hot that my system hangs, or i have to stop gaming, taking into consideration I play World of Warcraft all the time and doing end game instances (Molten Core, ZG etc) which requires hours of continous play and not forgetting on Sundays which I play for the whole day at room temperature.

I like Dell's after sales service cause of the no nonsence, no service cecnter crap. I dislike having to travel to service center to get my things fixed, I'd rather them to come ot my place and fix my things.

then that's good... cos one of the main problems of most laptops is the ineffecient cooling system

upgrading processor? cubdriver Feb 17th, 06, 06:12 AM #26 (permalink)
I have a Dell Dimension 8100 with Windows ME and 256 MB of memory. I have increasing problems with crashing, especially with Quicken software. I've read online that Quicken is a memory hog and doesn't use memory well, so that increasing the RAM might not help. One advisor tells me to double the memory and to upgrade the processor if possible.

1) D'you think either of these would help?

2) Where do I go to find a new processor? (I reckon I get the memory from Dell, right?)

Thanks!

(Sorry if this is not the place for a new question. I just don't see any option for starting a new thread within the Dell Users' Group.)
