First of all, I have to state that this post is more of a casual write up on the Mythos A15 by Zepto. If you are expecting hardcore benchmarks with technicalities, I’m sorry but this is not where you will be finding something of that sort.
Having the privilege of being one of the early few in Singapore to actually get my hands onto this Laptop, I felt like contributing some of my thoughts about this Denmark brand to everyone and to tell others about how good it is and what I think about it.
The specs of my system are as follow:
WSXGA+ 1680 x 1050 Screen
NVIDIA 9600M GT 512MB GDDR3
Intel C2D Centrino2 P8600 2.4GHz
2 x 2GB DDR2 PC6400 RAM
320GB 5400rpm SATA Hdd
Windows Vista 32 bit SP1
Here comes the bride (only because it’s white!!)
Upon arrival immediately what caught my attention was the printed sides of the outer layer cover of the carrier box. Nicely printed on all sides were images of the Mythos which gave me the impression that these guys actually care about the presentation of their product. (In case you didn’t know, Nox is the black version of the A15 series.)
To me, this was out of the ordinary as both my previous laptops came in typical white or brownish boxes covered in just pure text explaining its contents.

(Looked to me that I was purchasing myself a household appliance instead of a laptop.)

I then proceeded to slide the box aside to catch a first glimpse of what would soon to become love at first sight for me protected on both sides by solid plastic supports filled with air.
Love at first touch
Skin touched skin and I soon found out that my snow princess had a rubberized texture kind of feel to it but it isn’t something that is overly done to provoke an icky sticky sensation. The closest comparison I can think of at this moment would be somewhat that of a protective hand phone cover, the kind that are also sort of shock absorbent to a certain degree. Maybe if I let her fall off the table, she might just bounce back up without damage! (Fat hope! I’m not going to try.)
Everything looked really pleasant and neat without any extra gadgetry like one touch buttons or weird knobs and other useless things and the keyboard is well spaced and pleasant to type on.

The speakers on the Mythos is nothing fantastic to brag about so don’t expect Dolby Surround speakers or anything close but it does its job on clarity without the presence of any form of Bass but that didn’t stop me from hooking up my own office speakers to blast away on my mp3s.
Performance and portability
Did I mention that this baby is armed to the teeth with a 9600M GT? I was able to play popular games like Counter-Strike Source and Team Fortress 2 without the framerates dropping below 100 on most occasions while using the max graphical settings. On World of Warcraft, on top of all the extra mods, I was running the game in 1650 x 1050 without any AA and was able to obtain an average of 50-70 FPS in Shattrah City.
Unfortunately I only have a 6 cell battery so in full power mode, the laptop could only last for about 20-30 min but if you just want to surf the net and check emails or type a review (like this one) on the bus, it will last you a good 1 hour 30 min or more in power saver mode. (You can also choose to turn off all the LED lights to save more battery)

I actually began typing this review while on the bus from a weird seat angle which also shows that the viewing angle on the LCD screen is quite large so you won’t have any issues with seeing whatever you have on your screen.
I will be installing Sacred 2 pretty soon to play while on the go. Can’t wait!
Conclusion
The Zepto Mythos A15 is affordable, classy looking and powerful. Some of my friends, who have seen it, commented that it looks like a Mac. Being white, some may feel that it stains easily but so far my Mythos has been able to remain stain free after a quick wipe with a damp cloth.
There are also plenty of websites with plenty of reviews about the power of the Mythos with CPU benchmarks, all with outstanding performances and about how value for money Zepto computers are.
Thank you for reading, I shall leave with you this warm glow that now illuminates my room at night.
