fujitsu vs lenovo notebook/tablet (SMU promo) onionhead Jul 1st, 09, 03:01 PM #1 (permalink)
hey hey,

would a tablet be better for school compared to a notebook? can a tablet replace paper and pen?
any recommendations from the listed laptops?

although lenovo notebooks are cheaper and lighter, their design is rather uncle-ish.. huge turn off.

Fujitsu laptops

* Fujitsu LifeBook S6421BS
* Fujitsu LifeBook S6420WS
* Fujitsu LifeBook 6520WS
* Fujitsu LifeBook L1010WS/BS

Lenovo laptops

* Lenovo ThinkPad X200
* Lenovo ThinkPad T400
* Lenovo ThinkPad R400

Tablets

* Fujitsu LifeBook T5010
* Lenovo ThinkPad X200T

more details in link below.

TIA!

Upgraded X200 or T400. Skip the tablets. And trust me, if ThinkPads are any chic, they will lose tons of customers.

I think Fujitsu LifeBook 6520WS is the best: same screen size as T400 but better size and weight (6520WS 1.7 kg vs. T400 1.9 kg)

Definitely tablet... IF THEY ALL COST THE SAME. (What are you, stupid?) Trouble is they charge premium for touchscreens. When you find them cheap in the market they're always second[fingered] (notice "finger" instead of hand, got double meaning wan) and comes with Nvidia (nekketsu) 6150.

i dunno how true this is but writing on a tablet sounds like a good idea but you'll have to try on the laptop yourself first.
see if it's comfortable for you to write on the tablet first before buying it.

just my 2cent
