thanks for the replies actually i'm now leaning towards ultra portables since i don't think an atom processor would be sufficient for my needs:p

i've tried the acer timeline core 2 solo 1.4ghz, i personally felt that it wasnt much(if any at all) faster than my 1.6ghz atom netbook. Since the timeline costs a lot more, its better to either just get a netbook or a full fledged notebook..(my humble opinion)
My Comp: 305watts PSU-Pentium D 3.0Ghz-2gb Kingston RAM-XpertVision Geforce 8600GT 256mb-Windows XP
AND IT PLAYS COD4!!!

Hi, actually you can get a ultra portable notebook. 13.3inch weighs only 1.97kg. it has every function. Think, if you buy a netbook, it wont perform up to standard the most you can get is 2gb ram (1 slot only). If you gonna use it to multi task, its definitely not faster then a normal one. i can introduce you the M800 by toshiba its good.

1005ha hands down. MSI Wind U123 doesn't have comfortable keyboard and it's too fat at the front.
