Geez. Feeling damn pissed off at the moment, my Vaio SZ75 nvidia 8400GS just died on me. and warranty just ended a few months back. im running on stamina mode which uses the motherboard's graphics card which is a intel accelerator. . if i start it using the 8400, it just gives me hell lot of green pixels and coloured blocks and stuff like that.

anyone got any idea whether i can get a replacement in say funan or simlim? and approx cost. thanks a bunch.. ugh. not the first problem with my vaio, first was battery, now this.

next time u might want to try and get an extended warranty, or sell it off before then end of warranty.

my guess is that this problem is almost same for all notebooks, since they use almost the same parts these days.

The varying factor will be the design and assembly as well as the usage.

For the last point, e.g. if heavy CPU load (hot) and in a hot environment, things get spoilt faster...

you should be glad that it has intel graphics,
my sony vaio ati x230O graphics failed, there are horible blue pixels all around when boot up, can't change graphics, unlike urs.

Wow Fuwell sell notebook graphics card? Didn't know that haha.. Thought they only sell desktop ones.. Well, if your 8400M GS uses MXM-II connector, I can offer you a 9650M GT
