asus for me too. GTX 260 pwns 9800... and HDD is cheap if you wan to upgrade.
I reserve the rights to SELL and to accept other bids unless transaction is done within 24hrs after deal. Sellers/buyers who withdraw 24hours before transaction will be banned and given a bad rating. No refunds for incompatible hardware.

Need computer repair? Building new computer? Network troubleshooting? PM me!

9800M got different versions with very different performance. Same goes for GTX260M, but GTX260M is essentially a rebranded 9800M. Manufacturors like to do that to trick people, the two posts above me are good examples.

I'd go for Asus, because I like Asus. Nothing else.

Add: Plus, the GTX260M uses less power due to die shrink. I very niao on batt life de.

Speaking of batt life, you might want to see which screen is brighter for the same battery life too, so you can use the screen at lower brightness,

Then, weight? Design?

I guess specs is secondary in the end.

Funny comment aside, Gateway still has some saving grace as a value brand under Acer.
