I look at it differently; for a 2.5G C2D with 12.1" LCD and manufacturer delcared battery life of 8 hours at the weight of 1.1kg is amazing, this is almost the size and weight of Netbook but with bigger LCD and powerfull CPU, provided the price is close to that of Netbook.

3G is good to have, there are many alternative today for mobile computing, we Wifi everywhere and best still, use bluetooth link to phone to connect to the Internet when on the move.

its a great mobile platform, i like the P CPU, light even with DVD, just lacks the 3G.

Having used a device with built in 3G and standby, and I travel around alot. I find BT tethering and even dongles inconvenient.

and u cant use phone and net at same time if u tether

I am using window based smart phone, the phone is able to share internet access to the notebook and at the same time making calls/SMS, no problem. I guess it depends on phones. Yes, to take out the phone and do the sharing takes a few more steps as compare to built in 3G, it is hard to get an ideal netbook, most model will have something missing.
