just got myself a 2nd hand Compaq notebook from eBay Uk and i dun see any Compaq user group here, so i'll start one...

well, i'm in london, so shipping isn't that much.

Turion at 3000+ (1.8Ghz), well, it's enough for light useage on the go, but the IDE and USB performance is slightly slower, cos of the slow 4200rpm hard drive, and also, the ATi SB400 southbridge... =)

oh btw u could add HP into the list as well..sinec HP-Compaq

hmm. i got a big problem now.

somehow, my notebook have buttons fading off already, and it's only 2 weeks old! to add on, some paint had been fading off already! OMG

can i complain? hmm

i think u can complain, but i dun think warranty covers such occurrences..

i mean, if my notebook is a few months old, with heavy useage, i understand la. but this is such a new notebook, i dont even term myself as a heavy user (i still have my desktop at home..)
