I just received a letter from a law firm to file claim against me for illegal download

the letter is sent on behave of Showgate Inc.

basically is ask me to acknowledge i m the one who do the download..

n get back to their representive within 7 days...if not legal action will be taken

the letter mention the following
".. our client is prepared to offer you the opportunity of entering into discussions through us as solicitors, with a view of resolving the above matter.. "

what's the best course of action...?

why should the distributers pay for a group of nobodys who have no power watsoever... ever since the court ruling came out I figure they would have disbanded.

Nah, they got away with it for awhile and never were punished. There's plenty of incentive for someone to try again - its free money for a slap on the wrist.
