EVGA 680i SLI board
scythe ninja plus cooler.

can oc untill 3.6/7?

not sure about 680i but I tried using Abit AW9D-Max till 390fsb.. then stuck cos my ram can't go higher

Cause you die die use 4:5 and above RAM multiplier.

cannot... cpu stress test pass without prob at 430fsb.. but once hoot ram test only.. die liao

I'm having problems with the BIOS on my 608I board but I can still do 407FSB 7 hours orthos stable.

3.6Ghz should be ok depending on the quality of your E6600

Many have this issue with this MB in XS... in small FFT can pass .. but when large FFT test .. 9 out of 10 MB can't do more that 400FSB...

i'll say 3.4Ghz is a no brainer.

3.6Ghz as SLi_dog said depends on the chip, your max temp threshold etc etc.
