Ok. I cracked my head to think of the title that can attract members here because last night I paired up my recent Kingston Samsung TCCC that can do 290Mhz and my kingston hynix DT D43 that can do 260mhz to run in dual channel on my DFI NF4 Ultra-D on orange rams' slot. Few days ago, I tried to paired up these two sticks of ram but they gave me instant BSOD. So I revisited last night and to my surprise, my comp manage to boot up and oc as well.

FYI, Slot 3 is Kingston TCCC DDR400(PC3200) at 3-3-3-8 at 1T at 2.6vdimm(Default setting)

Slot 4 is Kingston Hynix DT D43 DDR400(PC3200) at 3-3-3-8 at 1T at 2.6vdimm(Default setting)

So the "combo" here refer to pairing up Samsung TCCC and Hynix DT D43

The max I can go is to DDR530(265mhz). More than 265mhz, everest can run find but not SuperPi1 million. May be due to the max oc of my hynix DT D43 is 260mhz only wheras my TCCC can do 290mhz

Am I lucky this time again to run different chipset of ram in dual channel? I don't think so. Well, as long as you try, there is a lot of possibilities. Lesson to take home is that, it is advisable to run same chipset of ram in dual channel, ocability of ruuning dual channel might hindered by either one of the sticks and most probably the max oc will determined by the low oc of either one of the sticks if the rams is not in Dual Channel Kit

265mhz is achievable in hynix with good luck and chip.. in this round i think ur tccd is limited tho.. drop to a speed to pair up hynix wor

Supply yourself la. Like me. Pay with my own money and do some testing and post the result here for the benefit af all members here to look for cheap and yet ocable ram.
