HDD Cooling fans really work!! PhiBer Jan 4th, 06, 09:14 PM #1 (permalink)
Rig as in my signature..

Running on a casing with side panel removed, disconnect the fans at the front cooling bay ( 2 x 120mm )..
where by each bay can hold 3 hdd, i put 1 in each bay at the centre slot..
(it's the Thermaltake iCage.. )

With the fans OFF - 46C for the Hitachi, 47C for the Maxtor..

With the fans ON - 33C for the Hitachi, 34C for the Maxtor..

What a whole world of difference!
