After our "pin-mod" Core 2 Duo guide to boost voltages on these LGA CPUs for limiting motherboards, we had some requests for guides on the previous generation of LGA CPUs. So here is our "pin-mod" guide for all Pentium-based LGA CPUs, from the Pentium 4s to the Pentium/Celeron Ds and Pentium Extreme Editions. As usual, all you need is some electrical insulation tape and some conductive ink.

yes i saw this some days ago, its very good method if your board cant get high voltage from bios.

Just overclocked my Pentium D 805 on the Asrock 775dual-vsta motherboard from a 3360MHz stable with stock voltage to 3690MHz stable with a CPU pin volt MOD.
I did the 1.420Volt mod and the voltage in the CPUZ is gone from 1.216-1.232 to 1.36-1.376 and has allowed me to overclock my D 805 another 330MHz.
Memory has gone from a 5/6 divider to a 1/1 divider automatically on DDR2 2T.
She’s cranking and so are the temps from 40 idle to 47 idle now, ambient is 24.
Might try a higher voltage mod soon and get this to 4MHz on a cheap Asrock 775dual-vsta motherboard Wow happy happy.

P.S. Just to let you know Shamino that the cpu pin position diagram that you are using, shows the missing cpu pin cut out and a small arrow on the wrong corner of the cpu (right bottom corner but should be on the left bottom corner). It had me scratching my head for awhile but your pictures reasured me so I took a leap of faith and it paid off.

I got a celeron d 352 and an ASRock 775Dual-vsta mobo. I am stable at 4.46ghz, but at 1.25 I know this chip can do more, justs need some more juice. Wondering if anyone knows how to do this. Also I acidently ordered an oem chip, so I'm not sure of the stock voltage, as the asrock likes to jump around alot; anywhere from 1.22-1.26. I tried the mods for the lgas, but didnt get any of them to post. Any info would be greatly apreciated!

Please keep in mind that this program will still continue to read the TRUE (or original) default voltage of the CPU after you do the mod so it can't be used to go back and check your work to see if you modded the voltage correctly (at least that's the way it behaved when modding the voltage on P4 CPU's).

Just overclocked my Pentium D 805 on the Asrock 775Dual-VSTA motherboard again from 3700Mhz to 3880MHz with Shamino's second CPU pin volt mod OF 1.5 VOLTS.

I did the first 1.420 Volt mod and the voltage in the CPU-Z is gone from 1.216-1.232 stock voltage to 1.36-1.376 and has allowed me to overclock my D 805 from 3400Mhz to 3700Mhz.

With the second CPU pin volt mod of 1.5Volts my D 805 has gone from 3700Mhz to 3880Mhz and the system is about 98% stable. I have posted at 4000MHz but might need more juice (Voltage) to keep it there stable. CPU-Z voltage has gone from 1.36-137 to 1.424 1.44 after the pin volt mod.

Memory has gone from 3-3-3-9 @ 3400Mhz with a 5/6 divider at to a 1/1 divider automatically @ 3700Mhz and onwards on my Geil DDR2 ram at 2T.

Temperatures are 24 ambient 44 at idle to 57 under heavy going with water-cooling. The VRM’s are needing good airflow with the extra voltage being produced otherwise everything seems ok.

I would be totally satisfied with 4Ghz stable.

I have read of 4.3Ghz on air with a huge heat pipe cooling tower!

Are my CPU-Z voltage readouts correct as they are below the volt mods values that you published?

VID are set points, so the mods are based on set points, and most board droop and so cpuzreadouts= voltages after droioping from setpoints so thats about right.

I have an pentium d 805 with asrock 775dual-vsta and i want to change the vcore as shown in the article above.I don't know what is the right picture for mod voltage because i see down the wrong triangle in the right corner, and i am out of solutions.All i want to ask is what is the default vcore for pentium d805 and what is the right picture to mod my proc in 1.55.Also rightmark cpu it shows me 1.325 and i'm not sure because when it showed me that score my cpu was overclocked to 3.24 ghz.And now, when i have the default mhz, it shows me the same 3.240 mhz and 1.325 vcore.Can someone help me, plz?
