I have done the highest cpu pin volt mod for the D 805 and got it to
4000Mhz.
I can boot into Windows at 4080Mhz but its not stable.
Thats 50% Overclock with this mobo happy happy!

When you guys do the NB vmod, how do you cool it down? Do you use the stock heatsink and replace it with a more capable model? If so, what NB cooler do you recommend?

Also, does the NB heatsink mount through pins, loops, or is it glued on? My mobo hasn't arrived yet and I'm planning to order a NB cooler for it.

I remounted the stock heatsink with AS5, and added a 40mm fan. Stock its 1.34v, I've it at 1.45v. speedfan reports its temps around 26 - 32 C.

i can not see the sense in pulling up the FSB by slowing down the RAM frequenzy ?!

my system: 293 FSB / DDR400 @ 440MHz - that's faster than a higher FSB with DDR333 !!

just to take the RAM out of the equation...that way I know the failure reason is NOT the ram..once I find a stable config I can just jack it up to DDR400 no prob(ie 290/109)

You are a genius

With your Mod I could reach easily FSB 325 (with a few Bios attitudes).
And the best... it runs stable...

I wait likewise for a pencil trick, in order to increase the DDRI tension.
Perhaps you would have time and desire for a further challenge...

I needed to use Shamino's 1.4v cpu pin mod to hit 325, but its not prime stable. Need better cooling on the cpu and the northbridge I think
