I have done the highest cpu pin volt mod for the D 805 and got it to
4000Mhz.
I can boot into Windows at 4080Mhz but its not stable.
Thats 50% Overclock with this mobo happy happy!
When you guys do the NB vmod, how do you cool it down? Do you use the stock heatsink and replace it with a more capable model? If so, what NB cooler do you recommend?
Also, does the NB heatsink mount through pins, loops, or is it glued on? My mobo hasn't arrived yet and I'm planning to order a NB cooler for it.
** for the file copy errors, are you using IDE drives? and if so do you have "IDE Drive Strength" set to "highest" under chipset config?
** This board will never hit 400 mhz, because of the PT880 pro/ultra chipset can not do it. for that you will need one of the boards based on the Intel P965 chipset.
** The cpu voltage should not be holding you back.
I have 2xIDE and 1xSATA all DMA/smart enabled
IDE is at highest.. so is DDR etc...
bios 1.9
My settings are: (vnb pencil mod)
Async
300/112 (will give ide corruption) 290/109 doesnt
pci 33.33
spread spectrum disable
Boot enable
cpuid dis
virtualization enable
disable
DDR266 (2x1Gb kingston DDR400)
Flex disable
2T
Dram high
AGP high
Vlink normal
IDE highest
315 is nice indeed! what bios settings are you using? Any mods?
just to take the RAM out of the equation...that way I know the failure reason is NOT the ram..once I find a stable config I can just jack it up to DDR400 no prob(ie 290/109)

Its Primestable; but i had to decrease FSB to 320 cause the PCIe VGA-Card doesn´t make 119-120MHz Freq.; but this is required to reach 325 FSB stable (-screenlockups in Oblivion after 10Minutes gameplay, but Sound still continues to play) now its at 117 MHz PCIe. I have a ATI... maybee with NVIDIA it doesn´t make a difference...

Did you reach those speeds after applying some volt mods? If so, which ones did you apply? I'm thinking about applying Shamino's LGA775 C2D mod using some conductive pen.
