Quantum Force MARS P35 CPU PLL, NB GTL, FSB Swing Mods Shamino Nov 7th, 07, 08:35 PM 2 links from elsewhere to this Post. Click to view. #1 (permalink)
CPU PLL VMOD

Just near Southbridge if you need more than 1.95v PLL:

You can use pencil or a 10K ohms VR. For 10K ohms VR set at 10k ohms first tune down for more voltage.

MCH GTLRef AKA FSB VRef & VFSB Swing

Beside chipset. Set at Max resistance and tune down to increase voltage. Both voltages are derived from CPU VTT - Default = MCH GTLRef ~ 0.66x VTT, VFSB Swing ~ 0.25x VTT.

Shamino can you expand on the term VFSB "swing" what is this swing? I see it is associated with the VTT so is it designed to accommodate the variance in VTT ?

yea u can google for the intel x38 or p35 datasheets and read them, there are some more reference voltages, but some dont make a diff .

I'm about to sell my MSI P35 and buy a new board.. this Foxconn looks very sexy!

How is it compared to DFI Lanparty UT P35 T2R? The only problem I see is the vDroop... is there a vDroop Mod for the Foxconn MARS?

Thanks in advance!
