Same mobo, same ram, same CPU, same FSB, c1e/eist always disabled.

Granted this is a E8500, but you can see the VID jumping around between restarts.

Hmm, same batch but very diff. VID.

OK eva, you must go thru' quite a few CPUs in your testing so what is your personal current thinking on wafer no. and VID on the eventual o'cing performance of a chip - good correlation or 100% all luck still?
still a bit of luck involved.. it's my first time testing 5 cpus of same batch at same period of time so no theories yet

3rd of 5x E8600 Q820A599 installed on Gigabyte EP45 Extreme with new F6H bios. VID = 1.25v is same as 1st E8600 Q820A599 **5146.

System:
  • E8600 Q820A599 2V8 / **0537
  • CPU Cooling: Dtek Fuzion Rad Tower Box
  • Gigabyte GA-EP45 Extreme rev 1.0 F6h bios
  • 128MB Gainward FX5200 PCI
  • 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 dual channel kit
  • Memory cooling: 120x25mm Thermaltake 81cfm fan
  • 74GB Western Digital Raptor OS drive
  • Pioneer 215 DVD-RW
  • 1200W Silverstone OP1200
  • WinXP Pro SP2 Nlite Fully Updated.

Finished quick tests for 3rd E8600 Q820A599 **0537 so far coolest running E8600 out of the 3 tested and highest cpuz validation and 1M pi

nah not yet.. i want to quickly go through all the cpus and find my ideal one - i want 32M Pi capable 5Ghz water cooled cpu hehe (yeah hard ask but i'm hoping).

I'll do max fsb after as today I just received a nice set of 2x1GB DDR2 memory that should easily do 700+ mhz clocks

So now you are going to have to strap all 5 back in to find best FSB also?
Why not just do it in 5 mins when you had them in teh system already.......

i wasn't going to do the other listed tests at first just impatient to find that 5ghz 32M pi gem hehe.. but after seeing NewBeetle's variance with his Q820A599 x 4 cpus, thought I'd do them as well.. working backwards this time #5 cpu first up and will do all the listed tests for each cpu before moving to next cpu

Chip limit.

Im really suprised at that 5Ghz 32M by Clon22 on air, thats the best ive seen anywhere in the world.

I bought the RE from Fuwell on the weekend, huge hole in my pocket now
Reading earlier posts in this thread so forgive the reply order

Anyway, looks like you were also looking for a 5ghz 32M air/water cpu like me

Some are amazing, booj over OCAU also has a Q820A599 his does 5000-5050Mhz 32M/3d benchable on air at 1.536ish vcore IIRC!

Just testing E8600 Q820A599 **0464

Testbed:

CPU E8600 Q820A593
Mobo: Asus P5N-D (Bios 0801)
Memory: Longsiew Micron D9DQW (Self flashed Micron OEM) 1gb x 2
GPU: Gainward 9800GT
HDD: Hitachi 80gb 7200rpm
PSU: CoolerMaster UPC 1100watt (88% Silver Award)
OS: XP Pro SP2

This Asus P5N-D all depends on the nb voltage. And of course the nb is HOT 1.3volt under Bios for this 4ghz Orthos
Set 1.23vcore in Bios. But CPU-Z showing 1.18vcore. Load is 1.168vcore.

Now still priming=) will post again after 30 mins of priming

OK..30 mins now

1 hr without error=)

Manually stop the Orthos. That's all for now.
