Before anyone flames me or something, I'd like to say I'm quite new to overclocking so, please treat me well yes.
Ok to the topic, well as in my sig, I recently changed my chip from E72 which was previously o/ced by just changing the FSB in the bios. Quite simple coz my fren juz told me to change the multiplier and FSB to 333. And viola, E72 was flying at at 3.16 Ghz.
Coz my fren burned his board and needed a chip, so i decided to sell him my E72 and got an E84. Then, yes i installed the E84 in, and was running at stock spd of 3 Ghz. I was at first dumbfounded tot i forgot to change my FSB. So i went into the bios but everything was ok. After researching, E84 at FSB1333 was alrdy 3.0Ghz! (Ya quite duh of me, LOL!)
Now to the crucial question, my DS3 FSB max is 1333. How much more can i go without killing my board/chip or whole system in fact? Besides changing the multiplier, is there anything i shld do on the vcore?
My fren suggested i get entry/mainstream P45 becos the FSB can go up to 1600 if im that scared of killing my system. Not that i dun trust him, just wanna hear more opinions.
Thanks for reading, and was really bored in the office so I typed this out.
Thanks for any incoming advices in advance.
