Hi, I've got a Q6600 running at stock now. Everytime I OC, it isn't stable past 2.79GHz. I don't think temps are a problem since I idle at ~45C at that speed. I don't think I need a voltage bump, since I should be able to get 3GHz no problem with the Q6600. I even tried a BSEL mod, where everything should start as per normal except for the FSB. Any ideas what is wrong? I don't want the CPU to bottleneck my next GPU liao.

your RAM? rmb that when u tweak the clock speed the RAM's speed is also affected. try setting the FSB:RAM ratio to a higher ratio (higher FSB: lower RAM)

Yep, dividers set as well to 1:1, so RAM isn't a factor. I also tried a BSEL mod, which sets the FSB to 1333MHz and keeps everything else stock. No luck there.

Wait, could a 4-pin CPU connector be the problem? That's the only thing I can find a problem with, since 630i should be able to support 1333MHz FSB (Or so NVidia says).

Whats your Vcore voltage and the rest of the voltage? Mind stating down so that we can further help you? =D
