Hi,everyone,my rig spec as below:
MSI Eclipse Sli (MS7520) rev 1.1
Powercolour 4850
I7 920 ES version
GSKILL trident DDR3 1600 3x2g
I can not hit even 3.6g,once I changed the BLCK ,always hang @ cpu initial ,v-core increase 0.3v to 1.365v,QPI voltage increase 0.35v,I don't know how much exactly voltage of default,DRAM voltage from 1.5v increase to 1.675v,I don't know where is wrong with the BIOS settings,is my CPU too lossy or the board?thanks in advance for the help.

Do u install MSI OC Software. Core Centre?

If yes, u can activate it and get some info from teh Core centre such as the voltage, bclk and the multi. If u on the Turbo Boost, then yr multi will be 21x instead of 20x.

vtt/QPI voltage set to 1.35volt. Memory stick to 1.65vdimm.

Best if u have the bios screen shoot so that we can guide you

3.6GHz should be easy for most 920.

Try VCore at 1.4V than slowly reduce. My chip needs only 1.2V for 3.6GHz.

Watch ya RAM settings too.. try to go easy first.

920ES has a memory multiplier is locked.
So no matter what mem ratio, it doesn't work.
Mostly, limitation should be on the chip.
Start with a high vcore but dun chiong the bclk.
Use a higher multilpier like 20x, slowly increase the bclk.
If u need higher bclk like 200x18, increase ur vqpi higher.
nb @ 1.25v~1.3v also helps.

sorry for late post for everyone,very strange things happened,I swicthed the MSI easy overclocker on the motherboard to 200 blck,then go to bios and the post screen also shows the core speed already 20 x 200 = 4g hz,ram is running on DDR3 1600 (triple channel),but after I opened the CPU-Z 1.5 in the Windows,it shows only 2.66g hz,it's absurd.......anyone can give suggestions or comments?
