Overclocking an Intel D915GEVL spai_duhz Mar 1st, 06, 02:07 AM #1 (permalink)
Got a prescott p4 ht 3.0ghz cpu on top of an intel D915GEVL mobo.

Anyone got any idea on how to unlock clock frequency for this baby? See people overclock this thing like mad my hands are feeling kinda itchy.

If it can be done... then i have an excuse to hunt for a replacement for my outrageously noisy stock HSF.

So... if any ideas or better yet if anyone already done it... please share. xD~

almost all the 915 boards are not able to clock much cos the pci-e frequency are not able to be locked.

I see. So no such thing as a hacked BIOS that unlocks frequency?

H well, if thats so... then i guess the only workaround is to get another mobo, eh?

go for ASUS board la. If u want to oc. mobo is the most important component. No matter how good is yr ram and your cpu, if your mobo cannot clock, it will be a waste to yr ram and cpu.
