I have only tried XP SP2. I think I just return it and I will get one e6400 too. Even if I don't have the money..

Same situation here. Too bad Newegg charges 15% restocking fee for the mobo, otherwise I would just return the board and go back to AMD. No more Intel after this (All my system before this are AMD, including my laptop).

Hmm.. In Norway we don't pay any fee for restocking. We just have to pay the shipping costs.

Yea, I wish we have that. Fry's doesn't charge for return (my cpu is oem). But Newegg charges for the motherboard RMA.

Well, it looks like the mod didn't work correctly for P-D 9xx series cpu. I tried the 1.4375v, 1.5v, and 1.55v mods, after the mod, the second core just doesn't show up. So I guess it's Conroe time.

I did the pin mod last night on my Pentium D 930, using an Asrock 775DUAL-VSTA, and one core went off.
I wish Shamino could help us, because my motherboard only gives 1,2-1,25V to my 930, and I can't overclock it too far, I need more juice!.
Cheers

Yeah, it would've been cool if someone figured out what needs to done differently for a 9xx series, but Shamino's probably modding Conroes now. I just returned all the stuff and got myself a nice X2 4600 and KN1 combo, got 2.86ghz out of it, typing on it now.

Any help?. I can't figure why one core is disabled after the mod .
Best wishes.

Have a good day!!!

I've just done the mod, the vcore grows up, but one core is disabled again .
This thing is making me crazy.
If someone has new information, I'll be waiting for it.
Good night.

Is there an FSB pin mod for the Pentium D 830? I can't do over 3.6 GHz due to heat issues, but the 240 FSB for that only gives me up to DDR2-800 for the RAM selection, whereas I'm using DDR-1000 RAM, so I can't get good settings for the RAM (it's the OCZ2P10002GEEK). My motherboard is Asus P5LD2 Deluxe.

I just got 775VSTA and saw this article. I got it to 3800MHz without problems, but this cpu worked at 4GHz in my old mb.
Problem is, stock voltage of my cpu (531) is 1,362 when checked in rightmark. Is there any way I could do this mod for 1,3625 cpu?

Hi,
I have the 775dual-vsta and Pentium D 805 but can't seem to get the thing to overclock over 3.38 ghz even with the pin volt mods. My stock voltage is 1.375 volts and I did the mod thats supposed to bring it to 1.525 volts. I have followed all the recommended settings for this board from mr.vain and shamino but still I'm out of luck. I recently upgraded from ULTRA DDR400 memory to OCZ S.O.E DDR2-667 with stock timings of 4-4-4-12 and its a 2gb dual channel set. Please help. You can reach me at gtpride4lyf@gmail.com.

Thanks in advance

3.8Ghz is about right for stock voltage.

If you are not getting past that it maybe that you are incorrectly doing the pin Mod and not getting the extra voltage to the CPU.

What does cpuz show for voltage after the pin mod?

Set your ram loose into defaults as to make sure that's not what is holding you back.
