Saw Samsung selling Bordeaux Plus R8 32" for $1,699 with 3 yrs warranty and choice of gifts Printer or StarHub HD package or Home Theatre

Is it a good price?

Can any owner of this model share how good to watch standard definition like Ch5, Ch8, Channel News Asia, Arts Central without HD set top box? Is the scrolling text on CNA still okay to read on this TV?

i think it shld be cheaper to get from Lee Meng (or Cost Plus as it is been renamed). I got R81 37" at $2400 from them.

wat i can say is, all the shops r selling @ a lower price

mega discount store can get more cheaper. just got my 40" this model at $3199
