> Look At This Before U Decide To Give Up Ur Pets.. snofire Jul 18th, 08, 11:39 AM #1 (permalink)
got this from another forum :

Please be warned that some of the clips show images of dead animals. It is about the fate of animals surrendered to shelter.

These videos made me tear so much!

These are also happening nearer at home at our own SPCA. My vet colleagues ever went to SPCA to volunteer. These are exactly the things they do. They related to me how the procedure goes and how emotionally toiling is it. Some animals enter the bleak room oblivious to their fate, wagging their tail, licking you all over, other knows it and resist, putting up a struggle as if saying, "i don't want to die!". One of my colleague was crying while she slowly injected the anaesthetic in. after confirming that the animal is dead, the next one is brought to the room. there is too many!

Whenever an animal has to be put down, it is never easy for me to see animals slowly fade as I held on to it. These animals are very sick but for those at shelter, they are put down because society has no place for them. I really salute the euthanasia technicians at SPCA, it is really a mentally, emotionally challenging job.

Think before you buy a pet or breed your pet. Why not adopt one from the shelter which could be potentially placed on death roll.

and i understand that some are not able to look after their pets any more due to some reasons and have to give them up. do not make SPCA your first choice. at least, on your part, make the effort to search for an adoptor first.

it's the sad reality we have here regarding pet overpopulation problem. Please help to spread the words and save our furry little friends..
really saddening

MODS can please make this a sticky ?

I know that feeling only too well...
I wouldn't say where, but i used to be a tech that does such things as well
Although I know they're not in pain and that I had been as professional as I can, sometimes its really hard to look the animal in the eye and push down on the syringe plunger

Some called us murderers, but we're the ones who cared the most. I found my friend stroking and asking this dead animal not to come back in the next life...I was telling it the same thing before it was put down...

Although its better to be dead than suffering, pets deserved better.

Think before you buy or breed a pet!

Oh my god!!! This is so heart breaking. I was tearing while watching the video clips. Didn't imagine there are such things going on in this world to these cute little creatures that are also in a way man's best friend.
