Why are there so few roborovski hamsters owwners ? - VRForums - SITEX 2009

i mean, i been surfing around those stickys and many thread. i see many ww and sapphire hamster but nt roborovski hamsters.

any idea why roborovski hamsters are not that popular?

i think there are more robo's owner locally as compared to syrians or ww. maybe ww is on par with robos. Feedback from some pet shop owners that their robos / robo wf are hot in demands by customers =/

My GF's roborovskis were really aggressive, keeps biting her fingers when she wants to play with them.

i did think of adoption some in vr or hardware but so far NEVER seen even 1 robo, so many sapphires and ww. aren't robo nicer? expects if they dun let u hold them.

erm.. you can search for sghamster for adoption but they have strict screening for adopters.

just started keeping 1 whiteface robo. was found abandoned at my fren's doorstep in a new cage (costs 47 bucks @ pet lovers centre). juz collected frm his place on friday. it's a 'lil timid but slowly allowing me to stroke its head. kinda cute. still trying to tame it more and make it sleep in my hands. =)

Woah...that's a LOT...i only got two currently. Would not mind trading or adopting some more though. I live in the West.

I currently have 2 Robos, both are male (siblings). One of them very daring / agressive, the other one is so coward like chicken shit.

I tried to tame them by putting them on my hand & see wether they'll try to runaway or not.... one of them stay & looks pretty calm eventhough at 1st nervous.

The other brother, straight away trying to get off from my hand eventhough i raise my hand pretty high so they dont try to jump off to the floor, but always wanna get off from my hand whenever i tried to put on my hand & start to drop lots of shits -_- damn coward.

But cant stroke them cuz they seem to be afraid on things that move above them.

last time he ish nort like that then one male live with him suddenly die den he like that liao. bathing time ish a chore everytime

Roborovskis are very new pets only started to be sold as pets in the 90s, they are getting much popular now though just started my own Roborovski website check it out. Roborovski Hamster Fan Site - Home
